The start of a new year always brings so much hope and excitement, and 2026 has so many things to look forward to. From new athletic seasons for our winter sports teams to our spring break service trips, we here at Regis are thrilled to be gearing up for the start of the spring term.
We know, however, that the start of new things can sometimes come with anxiety and stress. Our team is here to support your student and ensure they find success while supporting their families as well. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Campus Leadership Opportunities
Regis is hiring Pride Guides, Orientation Leaders, and Resident Assistants for the 2026-2027 academic year! In these roles, students gain valuable leadership experience while demonstrating their Regis pride and supporting the campus community.
Students interested in becoming a Pride Guide, Orientation Leader, or Resident Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year should submit their application by Wednesday, January 21 at 4 p.m.
Students from all class years and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
#RegisMoveIn Information & Policies
All residential students are welcome to move into their residence hall on January 18 or 19. Students should check in at the lobby of their residence hall between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on either date.
All residential students should log onto the Adirondack Housing Portal and select their move-in date.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for you to file for the 2026-2027 academic year. If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to file it as soon as possible. When you do, please include Regis’ school code, 002206.
As a reminder, the FAFSA is one of the most important forms to submit to be considered for the most financial assistance possible and must be resubmitted each academic year. The FAFSA helps you be considered for institutional funding from Regis in addition to federal scholarships, grants, and loans. For more information, visit the Office of Financial Aid webpage.
Partners in Excellence (PIE) Peer Mentors
A new year often means new goals — Why not have an accountability partner?
PIE Peer Mentors are student leaders trained to support the success of their peers through bi-weekly check-ins.
If your student would like to be matched with a Peer Mentor, have them email Jeff Joseph, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Co-Advisor of Partners in Excellence.
2026-2027 Housing Information & Application
Information regarding the housing application, housing selection, and housing accommodations for 2026-2027 will be available in mid-February.
The Office of Residence Life will be hosting info sessions in the spring semester to make sure your student has all the information they need to know regarding housing for next year!
Connecting with Your College Student
Here are a few open-ended questions that you can consider asking your student as they prepare to return to Regis this semester. Remember, your goal is to listen more than talk. You don’t want them to feel smothered or under investigation. Good luck!
How are you feeling about returning to college life? Gives them space to share both excitement and worries. It may lead to deeper conversation.
This spring semester, what are you looking forward to experiencing? Is there anything you want to do differently than in the fall? Helps them focus on positives and set intentions for new experiences.
Is there anything you would like me/us to do to support you from home, academically, socially, or emotionally? Empowers your student and shows you respect their independence.
