Update to On-Campus Mask Wearing
As more data has become available on the effectiveness of certain types of masks at minimizing the spread of COVID-19, the COVID-19 working group has updated the types of masks that will be allowed on campus.
Beginning Tuesday, February 1, cloth masks will no longer be allowed on campus. Regis community members will be asked to wear surgical, KN95, or N95 masks, which ever is most readily available to you. The university is exploring how to make surgical masks available on campus to community members who can't get them.
No matter which of those masks you choose to wear, make sure you wear it properly and it fits snuggly over your mouth, chin, and nose.
Masks must be worn in all indoor on-campus spaces, regardless of a person's vaccination status. Unvaccinated individuals must wear a mask at all times when on campus, indoors or outdoors. Masks can be removed when you are in your own office or residence hall room, or when you are eating or drinking.
Return-To-Campus Testing Protocol
All Regis community members (residential students, commuter students, faculty, and staff) must obtain a negative PCR test before coming back to campus.
- Fully vaccinated - No more than 7 days prior to returning to campus.
- Unvaccinated with an exemption from Regis - No more than 72 hours prior to returning to campus.
If you are getting your return-to-campus test at Health Services, you must leave campus once your test is complete and you cannot return until you have received a negative result. Off-campus tests are accepted and you can upload that result to CoVerified.
If you do not test before returning to campus, you will be restricted in CoVerified and unable to attend classes, enter certain campus spaces, or participate in on-campus events.
