Success Stories

Colleen Fagan

ABSN ‘20
I decided that I wanted to go into the health profession while I was in college. Unfortunately, I had to put those dreams on hold for a period of time. As I worked in the corporate world for a biotech, I realized that I wanted to be in the trenches with patients, as opposed to supporting them from afar. That is when I decided I wanted to be a nurse.

BSN ‘23 (24-Month Program)
I without a doubt chose the right program for my journey into nursing… I am able to dedicate the time I need to be successful in my classes while also having time to tend to all the other aspects of my life.

No. The Accelerated BSN is designed for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field and have completed the required prerequisite coursework.

Both tracks lead to the same BSN degree and prepare students for RN licensure. The 16-month track is a full-time, on-campus option completed in four consecutive semesters. The 24-month track is a full-time, hybrid option that combines online coursework with in-person labs and clinical placements across six terms.

Yes. Both Accelerated BSN options are designed to prepare graduates for the NCLEX-RN exam and entry into professional nursing practice.

Program expectations and schedules vary by track, but due to the intensity of the program, we strongly encourage students not to work or to limit work to very minimal per diem hours. Prospective students can speak with admissions to better understand what may be feasible based on their schedule and responsibilities.

Students complete clinical placements and simulation experiences as part of the Accelerated BSN curriculum. Clinical experiences take place at hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the Boston and Greater Boston area.
